Ripley's Believe It is a June 2007 colt by Routinier out of Lucy Mae.
His is a miracle baby as the mare's cervix did not open and the emergency vet pulled him out with obstetric chains. I assumed he'd be dead, but he flopped on the ground, then blinked.
And he was ready to rumble.
His mother, Lucy, had a rough 48 hours, but she was determined to take care of her new boy. She is a wonderful mom.
The sire, Routinier, is well known as a popular son of Rohdiamont. The R line continues to be in Oldenburg's top families of performers. Routinier scored at 71% in PSG in spring, 2007. The dam, Lucy Mae, was imported from Germany as a yearling. Her bloodlines offer talent in both dressage and jumping. She has multiple crosses to Ibikus and Impuls, a magical combination. Her paternal grandsire, Amadeus, won the Trakehner stallion approvals and became known as a top mare producer.
