Lucy was born in Germany and imported into Canada. Lucy is a granddaughter of Amadeus, the champion stallion of the 1977 approvals. She is double Ibikus. Ibikus won the Riding Horse Championship in Wiesbaden as well as Hamburg and he was champion stallion at the 1974 DLG Exhibit in Frankfurt.

Lucy also has Impuls, with 16 sons approved and more than 100 studbook daughters. The Ibikus-Impuls combination is successful in dressage horses worldwide. Lucy has the very famous Kassiber line on top and bottom. This bloodline goes back to Kassette, one of the most significant mare lines in the Main Stud Trakehnen.

Nine stallions in Lucy's pedigree are mentioned in the book on Trakehners by Dr. Eberhard. Most of these famous stallions disappeared in The Trek in WWII. The consolidation of the historically significant and magical gene pool makes Lucy a very exciting broodmare.
